One of the most successful employers in the Consumer Goods sector is currently searching for a Packaging Manager to oversee production teams in their packaging division. The successful candidate has a minimum 5 years of experience in a TPM facility overseeing packagers/material handlers and has an understanding of lean manufacturing practices, scheduling, and employee development. This is an excellent opportunity for an intermediate to senior level Manager looking to build on his/her experience.
Please note a University Degree is a requirement.
-Monitor and audit material levels to ensure production lines have the required inventory
-Follow and contribute to TPM processes
-Oversee 25+ team members on a high volume part production crew
-Utilize SAP system for scheduling and production
-Lead and direct your team accordingly
-Coordinate work efforts with maintenance and engineering divisions
-Handle employee training, team development, and related HR responsibilities
-Track and report accurate production data using a database system
What you bring to the table:
-Experience in a large manufacturing setting preferably in a similar industry (food, pharma, automotive)
-University Degree is required
-Strong leadership and communication skills
-TPM and SAP experience
-A proven track record of support and direction of hourly staff ensuring production goals are met
-Must be proficient with Microsoft Office tools
-Experience in a related fast paced manufacturing environment
Location: London, Ontario
Position Type: Permanent, Full Time.
Shift: 3 shift rotation, flexibility with schedule
Salary/Rate: 70k – 75k + Bonus, Benefits, Pension
