Our client, a highly reputable and growing mid and highrise construction company with over a third of a century in business, is seeking to add a Senior Project Manager to their team for a permanent job opportunity, in Kitchener-Waterloo, ON. Reporting to the President, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of projects, from initiation to close, and will take on tasks, including; leadership and management of project managers/coordinators, contract management and client relationship building, sub-contractor sourcing and negotiation, and expense and budget tracking. This individual will be confident in their abilities in order to ensure the completion of a high quality project. You will have experience managing multiple projects, simultaneously, and have 15-20+ years experience in the construction industry, in a project management role, with 10+ years in mid and highrise construction. The Project Manager job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing and managing project managers with a coaching and leadership approach
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure quality and timely completion of projects

  • Planning, estimating, scheduling, costing, and contract management
  • Reviewing and maintaining order in projects by monitoring project progress and project managers
  • Reviewing budgets and ensuring they are on track


  • 15-20+ years experience in construction project management
  • 10+ years experience in mid and highrise construction
  • 5+ experience managing and leading project managers/coordinator
  • Degree/Diploma in Construction Engineering or Construction Management
  • Ability to travel to site, as required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, Timberline, and other construction management softwares
