Job Description:

Production Manager

You are an experienced Production Manager that has a minimum 5 years of experience in high volume manufacturing facility overseeing a staff of 100+ employees.

Our client is a large volume manufacturer of consumer goods and automotive components. The role requires experience with managing capital projects, budgeting, production scheduling, lean manufacturing, CI practices, and knowledge of molding machinery. This permanent direct hire position is on the day shift and offers a competitive salary along with benefits, RRSP, and bonus.

Responsibilities include:

-Managing 3 supervisors and 100 indirect reports.

-Utilizing CI and lean manufacturing practices

-Managing capital projects, purchasing and overseeing installation of new machinery

-Handle employee training, scheduling, team development, and related HR responsibilities

-Work with customers to ensure quality and production levels are on par with requirements

-High emphasis on H&S and employee development

-Reporting directly to the Plant Manager

 

What you bring to the table:

-Engineering Diploma or Degree is preferred, experience will also be considered

-Strong leadership and communication skills

-5+ years of experience in a high production setting in a management role

Nice-to-Have Skills:

-Understanding of automotive manufacturing procedures
